The views from the ocean-view rooms and the restaurant are stunning, and the entire facility is well-maintained and securely managed. The spa treatments were also a wonderful addition to our stay. My only drawback was that the spa, Shiso restaurant, and the adults-only pool are located on the opposite side of the street, which requires a short walk. Overall, I highly recommend Waves if you're looking for a relaxing and enjoyable resort experience in Barbados. Each morning, we enjoyed coffee on our balcony while soaking in the beautiful views. The resort is divided by a busy street, but we focused on the adults-only side, which includes several amenities like an exclusive pool, a spa, and Shiso, the Asian Fusion restaurant that required reservations and was open from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The food quality was very good. Across the street in the main resort area, you’ll find the reception, guest services, Kyma coffee shop, and Seascape, the main dining venue. Seascape offers buffets for breakfast and lunch from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM and 12 PM to 2:30 PM, featuring rotating items throughout the week, with food quality ranging from above average to very good. There’s also a rotating dinner menu (reservations needed) available from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Kyma serves coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. On our fifth day, we received an invitation to an exclusive cocktail party for Bonvoy members. At the event, we were warmly welcomed by the Guest Services Manager, Property Manager, and Facilities Manager, who offered us delicious Bajan Sunset cocktails and small plates. Interestingly, only six Bonvoy members were staying at the resort on that day. We took advantage of the included amenities, which featured planned activities like yoga, karaoke, mixology classes, and bingo, all included in our rate, along with access to a water taxi and on-site water sports. The activities we attended were both fun and relaxing. To participate in water sports, we only needed to sign a waiver and follow directions. As part of our package, my wife and I received two complimentary spa treatments during our stay, which required a minimum five-night booking. The water taxi service was available, weather permitting, to take us to other sister properties on the island’s west coast, although it wasn’t available during dinner time. I’m not sure if that changes in the summer with more daylight. The taxi does not stop at The House or Turtle Beach. We utilized the water taxi for lunch at Tamarind and Crystal Cove on two occasions. Reservations at these sister properties had to be made through Guest Services, and guests were responsible for their own transportation to dinner reservations. We also paid for a couple of off-site events organized by the resort, including a shuttle to Colony Club, another sister property, where we took a catamaran to explore sea turtles and coral reefs. Additionally, we attended Oistin’s Fish Fry, an outdoor market with live music and a variety of food vendors, reminiscent of a boardwalk in the USA. Overall, we had a wonderful trip and both agree that we would love to return in the future. There weren’t many Bonvoy members during our stay, and most of the other guests we encountered were British. The resort was clean, the staff was friendly, and our honeymoon was both fun and exciting.

Great location and very quiet. If you are looking for a relaxing place with not many children, this is the place to be. The rooms are very nice and well maintained. You need to warm up the water for the shower, but there is plenty of water pressure. Two pools. The rear pool (over) the road is surrounded by trees and vegetation, so it is very peaceful. It's just a pool for adults. It's not a big pool, but you can swim. There is a bar on this side of the hotel, but it is not a floating bar. We were on this side of the hotel and had to cross the road to get to the other part of the hotel and the beach. 2 minutes walk, be careful about the road. The drivers are very fast. They stop when they see you on the crossroads. The staff is excellent, friendly, helpful and always greeted us with a Hello and a smile. You remember who we were when we were there. Bartenders remembered our regular orders and the cook was VERY on my pickling diets (vegan and palm oil free). The food was excellent and my husband (who eats a meat and fish) had much too many choices and loved everything he tried. Snorkelling was good on the beach. The corals are dead, but there are still a variety of fish to see...all of the small colorful, to the larger ball fish and flounders. We even saw a white aal and a huge school of fish swooping around us. You can go a long way on the beach and the other 2 hotels (in this chain) are accessible by walking or the water taxi (free). We toured the northern part of the island with one of the hotel taxis. He brought us to the wildlife rescue, the Folkstone Marine Museum and then a ride on the east side of the island. $45 US/hr and we were gone for 3 hours. Great way to see the island. We had a free wellness service. I chose scalp massage and facial treatment. Rhea was amazing and I slept several times during the 1h session. Very recommended. If you are looking for a place to relax by the beach or pool with not many people, then that is it. We don't do nightlife, so I have no idea how it was, but I saw some musicians in the main part of the hotel on the beach. I love our stay.

We spent a week here in November 2022. While the hotel staff wasn't particularly helpful or friendly, the accommodations were comfortable and well-equipped. Our room had great air conditioning and was very clean, plus I absolutely loved the coffee machine! The water staff—David, Mali, Felix, and Nick—were outstanding, always fun and incredibly helpful. Jakobi and Tanya served us drinks on the beach with cheerful smiles, adding to the enjoyment. The spa provided a wonderfully relaxing experience, and the staff there were fantastic. Mark, the mixologist, is a cocktail wizard and extremely wise—he seemed to know what I wanted before I even asked! Cheryl prepared our breakfast and brought laughter to our mornings. I can’t name everyone, but all the employees were excellent. One word of caution, though: be careful when mixing Rum Punch and karaoke! We would definitely consider returning. This hotel was a fantastic find. The food at both restaurants has been great. The beach is clean. More importantly, there is never any overcrowding at the beach. We were always able to find a set of chairs without concern. The swimming pool is beautiful. The really cool thing about this hotel is it is part of the elegant hotels groups so you are able to go to the other hotels up the coast for the day and eat at them. When it came to setting up excursions it was so easy. The concierge, Ryesha, and front desk were very helpful. We decided to rent a car for the day and the front desk had the car delivered to the hotel for us and was going to pick it up for us the next day. Very convenient. The rooms are maintained very meticulously. The hotel is truly all inclusive. Most all inclusive don’t include the beach activities but here we were able to go tubing, water skiing and sailing for free. The only chargeable thing was the jet skiing but that’s because it’s not through the hotel. Miss Jackie and Tamisha at the front desk are very kind and attentive and her staff have been friendly and helpful. All the guests here are very friendly as well. The food in both restaurants was great every night. Miss Jennifer and Sabrina checked in on us all the time even when we weren’t sitting at their tables. We also got vouchers for the spa which out a nice touch to the end of the trip. We used it for a back massage and facial. Aimira did a great job with the facial. Never had one before. The massages from Cathy Ann were great and relaxing.
