They have a bar with a few TV 's, and music playing over them. The bar seats about 8 people, where you can eat, and also a bunch of tables. They have 8 beers on tap, with some local choices. The food is excellent. I love seafood, and I pretty much order the teriyaki glazed salmon with real mashed potatoes. They also offer baked and fries. I 've been here many times with friends and family, and we all come back for more, for a laid back, casual dining experience.
Love this place when I'm in the area. Great bar service.
We went to the Black Horse to celebrate a birthday after the Bridgton Christmas parade on Saturday night. The food was excellent and the service (Reagan and others) was exceptional! Each of our meals were perfect the lightly fried oysters and onion strings were just that lightly fried, delicious! The Blueberry salad with salmon was absolutely fantastic blueberry vinagrette was perfect, salmon was grilled just right. The b day girl had the Grecian chicken whihc was also cooked and seasoned exceptionally well. We were all very pleased with our meals. The pomegranate margarita was heavenly as was the pear rosemary martini!
I really enjoyed this place. Our waitress was amazing and treated us like old friends. The steak tips were extremely tender, the potatoes were super flavorful and the fish was some of the best I've ever had. Light, crispy, airy, flaky, moist. I'd drive the 2 hours back just for the fish and chips.
The food was absolutely delicious! Lobster roll was everything I could have imagined, even the French fries were fantastic.
