I loved the flavor of the homemade sausage and pepper but the sausage was slightly dry and overcooked while the peppers were a bit too crunchy. We also, ordered a prime cheese steak. The prime steak was cooked perfectly but the sandwich unfortunately had very little flavor. I thought, especially for the price, the sub would come with the usual cheese steak veggies. I did not know I most likely had to request onions, lettuce and mayo. With this said the bread used on both sandwiches was outstanding in flavor and texture. I would like to come back and try the Italian cold cut sub and perhaps order another sausage and pepper but request the sausages to not be overcooked. This Jersey Girl is still on the quest for the elusive perfect shore sausage and pepper that seems to have only existed prior to 1999.
Ernest Son is a great stop by for breakfast or lunch whether you're in Brigantine or Atlantic City. A previous reviewer said it best the tomatoes are the size of softballs, probably beefsteaks.
I came here to order a cutlet sandwich. The lady who helped me was friendly. My order we made wrong, but it only took them a few minutes to remake it. The reason I?m giving this place two stars is for a few reasons. My sandwich was soggy and the breading fell off my chicken cutlet. For the price I expected more chicken and for it to be crispy, not a small amount of soggy chicken. Furthermore, this place is not sanitary. They have bags of rolls that customers were pulling out with their bare hands, as there were no tongs or wax paper to grab the rolls. That is unacceptable. And one of the guys making deli sandwiches coughed on the sandwich he was making, and didn?t cover his cough. I won?t be coming back here for these reasons.
Well it was Our first visit! Butcher, Sandwiches and assorted groceries/veggies. Excellent selection of hoagies and hot/cold sandwiches to go. There are tables out front of store. Save using cash. Nice folks.
In regards to the the 8 people at at a time in the store, the business can do what they want but when the customer questions why they need to be put in line when using the outside pick up window to pick up a call in order, lose the attitude and answer a reasonable question. The lack of response and attitude shown by the woman employee makes me wonder what happened to customer service. Seems like this business feels entitled.
