The Cove Restaurant Bar Package Goods

We invited friends to go to the silvester with us. we used to be at the cove and were satisfied with the food and service we had, so we thought we would take a chance on their prix fixe nye menu. first negatiw: the dining room was very loud with a few big parties, and they did not have space away from them. the atmosphere wasn't festive - just loud. second negatiw: they changed the menu from the one that was released online for the evening. there were only 3 Entree selections instead of 4, and there was no choice suppe for not being able to update. third negatiw: we had to ask for brot while we wait long for suppe. fourth negatiw: the salat was tiny and uninteresting. fifth negatiw (and the killer: our dinners came out long after cleaning our salads, and they were very disappointing. the salmon of my friend was the smallest piece I had ever seen. I was bigger, but only about half of it. all except filet and huh was cold-cold kartoffeln, cold sweet, cold pasta and cold salmon---ick. When we complained about the waitress, she said she'd talk to her manager. she came back and said she would take a percentage of the bill. (no offer to warm up the food, replacement, etc. fifth negatiw: 15% were taken out of the bill! we asked about it, and the waitress sent the manager who apologized, but when the bill came back, it was unchanged. the only positive were: the suppe was hot and tasty, the dessert was great and decent. really no festive and pleasant nye, and not what we expected when we invited friends to go with us. we were very embodied. we are not going back. it was the most amatueric restaurant experience yet.

The best part of this place is the atmosphere and the personal! eating is very simple, not bad, but also not amazing. literal simple basic food and the menu is massive. Someone can come here and find something they like.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Entree portions where fantastic. We were skeptical since there are reviews that weren't great, but it was fantastic. This is the first place on the island that our whole family all enjoyed dinner! We'll definitely be going back

Great service but during the entire meal i felt I was at Applebees. Nothing great to say about our appetizers or entrees

Fried flounder was definitely NOT worth the $27 price tag for one heavily fried) thin founder filet (despite the pictures in reviews showing two) and fries. The rest of our meals were mediocre. Crab dip was the highlight. The music was nice, but just a bit too loud
