I ordered from the extensive vegetarian menu, pleasantly surprised to see everything was cooked to order—even the chips. The server had a strong accent, making it hard to communicate, and it seemed we were both struggling to understand each other. He ended up preparing a portion of chips and a fish patty that I hadn’t ordered, while neglecting part of my actual order. He also tried to charge me an outrageous amount. After a lengthy discussion, during which he clearly blamed me for the confusion, he finally settled on an arbitrary bill that didn’t reflect what I had ordered. I should have walked out, but I was too exhausted to care at that point, so I paid the total he demanded and waited for my food. Throughout this ordeal, his colleague stood silently in the corner, just watching me. When I finally opened the packages, it felt like a game of chance. Thankfully, the fish patty I didn’t order wasn’t included, but I did receive the chips I never wanted, which managed to be both dry and greasy at the same time. I honestly couldn’t tell if they were homemade or frozen. The curry sauce was just a tasteless brown liquid, lacking any flavor of actual curry. Surprisingly, the samosa was edible and almost enjoyable, albeit very oily. The rest of my meal ranged from overcooked and greasy to simply missing. Would I return? Absolutely not, even if it were the only chip shop in the country. The samosa was the only item that didn't end up in the bin. I recently had the worst takeaway fish and chips I've ever encountered. The owner struggled with English, making communication difficult for both of us. The chips were undercooked, and the portion of cod was tiny with a batter that was tough around the edges and barely crispy. To make matters worse, the fish was undercooked, as my order was prepared in less than five minutes. It was so disappointing that I ended up throwing it all away. I strongly advise against wasting your time or money at this place.

The best fish and chips I've ever had! The portion sizes are generous, and the customer service is outstanding—truly down-to-earth people. Service was for takeout, and I had dinner. The price per person was very reasonable, between £1 and £10. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5. I highly recommend trying the fish and chips!
