They use cones that may touch the scoops, but they take precautions by using separate scoopers for each flavor. The covers are only opened for two flavors at a time, making it easy to avoid flavors with gluten. During my visit, only one flavor was not gluten-free, so there were plenty of options to choose from!
I had a great experience at this restaurant. I informed the server that I have celiac disease and they were knowledgeable about necessary precautions and which flavors to avoid. Each flavor had its own scoop, which was reassuring. I chose the nutella gelato and my wife opted for the fig and mascarpone, both were delicious!
The ice cream at this restaurant is all homemade on the premises. The staff member who helped us was knowledgeable about which flavors were gluten-free (almost all of them!). The flavors change frequently. The ice cream scoop was washed before being used. Our child with celiac disease loved the mini egg flavor. They didn't have gluten-free cones, but they were happy to use the one we brought with us.
Big gelato! said to the server I was celiac, and they were familiar with neccesary precautions and avoid what aromen, and everyone had a seperate scoop. I got the clam and my wife got the coward and marscapone, very tasty!
The ice is all in front of the place the person that served us was confident that the aromene were gluten-free (almost all of them! . the aromen vary regularly. spoon was rinsed before use. the mini-egg aroma was enjoyed by our celiac child. no Gf-cones, but they were happy to use the ones we brought.
