Hilltop Cafe - Brighton

The best café I know! They serve generous portions and provide friendly service. The prices are also reasonable.

Excellent small street café burgers great (including veggie ones) even had avocado toast on the menu. drink much larger offer to eat than they would expect for such a small place.

I visited the Hilltop Café for a late afternoon meal, especially since many other places were closed. I was really pleased with my experience. I had a delicious cheeseburger served in a soft bun, complemented by pickles, tomatoes, and caramelized onions. My partner ordered the avocado smash, but without the bread, and instead with chips. They created a lovely salad for her, featuring sliced avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, and chips (though I prefer chunkier chips). The staff was incredibly helpful, and I even received a complimentary soft drink. The tea was a high-quality Earl Grey with milk, which I enjoyed. The tables were adorned with beautiful flowers, and the lovely sunshades created a relaxed atmosphere reminiscent of a tavern in Greece or the Mediterranean. Overall, it was a delightful experience!

The Blue Burger is one of the best burgers I've ever had: juicy, perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and served on a wonderfully textured bun. The service was great, and the seating was simple yet comfortable in the open air. I will definitely be back!

First time we have ever visited this cafe despite living in Brighton for 31 years. Amazing coffee, burgers and breakfast rolls. Definitely worth stopping here if in Brighton.
