The Ivy In The Lanes - Brighton

I had a satisfying meal at this restaurant and felt confident in their cooking abilities. However, I experienced a negative reaction to the breakfast, leading me to suspect that the toast may have been cooked alongside gluten-containing bread. I would not recommend this restaurant for individuals with celiac disease.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The menu was handed to me with a QR code, allowing me to select my allergies and view which menu items were safe for me on my phone. The staff was also very helpful and took my allergies seriously.

We have booked for our friends 70 and we are so glad we did. great place, great food and great service. we had to wait a past for my friends a cupcake, as it was freshly cooked, so we all have free coffee. the damentoilettes are a sight to see. we had fun making photos. the decoration is fab. great afternoon.

I took my mother to dinner tonight and was pleasantly surprised how beautiful our evening was. they seem to have a few new vegan options on the menu, what was great to see! the one I chose was out, but was really pleased that I was offered immediately a few other options that sound great, and the ones I chose was delicious! and mama really enjoyed the lobster. the person who served us (catie? couldn't have worked better. she was really great and made the evening, despite how busy the place was, would definitely go back!

So excited to go there. When we arrived was greeted warmly and it wads noted that it was my husband's birthday. We were then and taken to our table,our waiter was wonderful full of life asked questions was extremely engaging and a joy to be with. Then he left to go on break and it all went down hill from there. Waited ages for someone to come round and take our afternoon tea order and then brought out the champagne as we where having afternoon tea with champagne. we then waited ages for the afternoon tea sandwiches which looked lovely but where a bit stale. Seems like they where made and left so the bread on one side was hard. Told the waitress but she didn't say anything and we didn't see her again. Waited for a while and we had hoped our drinks tea would come out with our sandwiches but after asking and finishing off our afternoon tea sandwiches and cakes then the tea come out. All a bit confusing as i like my cake and tea together. Not sure why this time i was disappointed usually i do have good experiences at the ivy.
