Paris Wine - Brighton and Hove

Unassuming frontage in a terrace in the middle of Hove. I took my mum (82) for an early lunch. Charming service in an excellent interior which includes a partly open (but can be closed) back room which is excellent for sitting outside and (if you like) having a smoke. We didn't order much but the calmari were as good as I have ever had and the chilli prawns simply delicious...Granny had chicken thighs with mushrooms and garlic declared to be very fine indeed. We will be back.

I had a wonderful lunch and early dinner with some close friends at this restaurant. The food was amazing, as usual. The prawns and pork were cooked perfectly. A big thank you to the chef. Will definitely be back.

Seems to be a theme here as a local (250 yards away) my sister and I thought we would pop in as we had always had good service especially when we took our mother before she passed away. I guess everything changes in life. First to be met with 3 rude and unattentive staff who would rather clear an empty table than serve paying customers (mistake 1), then a waitress would rather fan out menus delightfully on the table behind us and then chat with locals (I am one) rather than serving us (mistake 2), then when we asked for another glass of wine, even though there was supposedly table service we noticed that the attentive staff had left them at the bar (mistake 3), when I attempted to provide feedback to the staff I have never been met with such rude and entitled behaviour (mistake 4), I would encourage your staff to perhaps go on customer service training if you do not wish to haemorage customers. For someone who has frequented your establishment for 10 years I am dissapointed with your staff and the total lack of service. I am unsure how long you will last with your current staff. But all the best with the staff training

This place must have new owners . Their service was shocking and so so rude . We went for quick drink we had to ask a table to sit at and were told to stand in corridor while taken to a table never happened , then had to ask another waiter can we sit here he shouted yes , no waiter came I went to order at bar as thought this was the case , the. Snappy girl said its table service , wine came . Which was too cold red wine we asked for another small glass timed on my phone 12 mins I asked after 8 mins waiter was cleaning putting glasses up he snapped and said he’s a bit busy ! Finally we got up to leave no table service at all . Young under 25 locals were served and given table service around us , we paid the bill and were told here’s your other wine I said nope taken too long and shocking service then the rude waiter said I’ve been rude what the hell ! DO NOT NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE OVER 25 AND IF YOU WANT TO HAVE GOOD SERVICE, YEARS AGO THIS PLACE WAS LOVELY GREAT SERVICE AND GOOD WINE . SHAME IT WAS SHOCKING STAFF SO RUDE AND WILL NOT BE GOING BACK HERE AND WE ARE LOCALS !!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff good all round place, plenty of room for an early evening bite to eat. All round a good experience.
