The Channel View - Brighton and Hove

I regret to say that this was the most disappointing dining experience I've ever had. The camembert was poorly cooked and lumpy. The pork belly was mostly tough, inedible fat. The rosti was underwhelming. I ended up only eating the bland vegetables. The stroganoff was average at best. If it wasn't for a groupon, I wouldn't have even paid for the main course. We had leftovers for dessert but chose not to have it. The rose pinot was pleasant, along with the crackling being the only highlight of the meal.

The meal was absolutely fantastic. The roasted belly pork main course was the best I've ever had. I also enjoyed the garlic king prawns and baked camembert. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant and trying the delicious dishes.

I used a Groupon offer when I visited this restaurant. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. The atmosphere was pleasant, and I want to congratulate the waitress who was working alone and managing a fairly busy restaurant. She was attentive and helpful throughout my meal.

Used a Groupon voucher and had some lovely food. There was only us and one other couple on the mid week evening we visited. Such a shame as the food is great and the service professional. You can not mistake you are in a hotel and this may put people off as there is a slight lack of atmosphere although for a catch up with friends or a family gathering when allowed) this is a good venue. I wish this venue well as the food deserves more custom and even without a groupon the prices are fair as the portions are generous. The house red was good.

As others have, I used a Groupon voucher to eat here with a good friend. It was extremely good value for money. The quality of the food was top notch, and, unlike other Groupon deals experienced, you are not stinted on quantity. If anything, there was a bit too much for me, but then, I don't have an enormous appetite any more. The langoustine arrancini was really nice, two sweet potato cakes that came with it were too much, one was more than sufficient. Ditto the two boiled eggs that came with the monkfish hot nicoise salad, I didn't need those. My friend had a baked camembert for starters then fish chips for mains, and also received generous portions. She happily worked her way through these. We were served by two delightful girls who looked after us very well. As this is an hotel restaurant, it was a little minimalist in design, but the atmosphere was good, especially considering it was a cold, wet weekday evening.
