Lovely decor and comfortable seating plus a greeat choice of drinks, staff although very busy, were friendly and professional!
We were staying at the Grand Hotel so for our first night we thought we try the Victoria Grill. Very disappointed with the corn fed chicken breast (at £16pp) we choose it was very chewy. Portions of chips and peas (enormous amount of peas) were extra and we thought it was certainly not worth the money. We didn't eat in the hotel again. Expected much better.
Very comfy, tastefully furnished and great ambience. Staff very friendly, welcoming and great service.
The best thing about this place is the location: overlooking the sea in funky Brighton (don't miss it! . It's housed in the Grand Hotel, which in itself is worth seeing. But the tea service is no big deal: we've had better sandwiches elsewhere; the scones were a bit dense, and.the miniature savories weren't quite as flavorful as they should be. British friends tell us there are more interesting places to have High Tea with updated versions of the traditional cream cheese cucumber servings. But if you want the old fashioned kind, at least the setting is right.
