The only redeeming quality of this "Coffee Shop" is the fact that you can get bottomless rice if your order came with rice. With decor considered by the locals as comfortable and lived in, 7-8 is a stones throw away from being converted into a homeless shelter. I was so grateful to be able to wash my meal down with their decidedly pretentious names for mud-water coffee (Love Sensation, Indian Song) - You really need to cleanse your palette after a plate of greasy overcooked food. Maybe the owners should reconsider a more fitting name for the joint to reflect the quality of their food: 0-1 Coffee Shop.
Don't be fooled by the 'coffee-shop' in their name! This restaurant has a wide variety of foods and drinks and they serve great Japanese food and amazing drinks too. Other than tasting great, the dishes are also served really nicely and neatly. The restaurant is typically busy around dinner time so it gets slightly harder to catch their attention as they are whizzing past. However, their service is quick and efficient as they deliver your requests pretty quickly. The restaurant is a bit small (but comfortable) so go early to get seats. I love their Kimchi hotpot, Sanma broiled fish and Katsudon! But I recommend trying all the different dishes and drinks to find the one you really like because they are all so good!
A friend brought me to this place, good for its value. $12 for a set, is a pretty good deal, that's why is a popular spot. My friend ordered the fish set with rice, the fish is well pan-fried. shouldn't miss it, if you are craving for fish. I went for a combination udon pot, since I love a little chewy for my udon, this place is on the point. and i love it served in a hot pot rather than in a bowl. (bonus point).
I feel so shame to miss this renowned eatery in Sunnybank. Indeed I always overhear a lot of people mentioned about it and was too busy to try. Explored it last night and understand why it is so famous. The list of varieties for the selection of drinks is spectacular. Although it sounds not a lot of varieties in meals, I believe that diners would not care as long as the food is good. Correct, it took quite a while to have my "Grilled Eel with Udon", Edamame & Dagwood Dog but portions and taste were all good. Heroes should be the drinks which are not the same as the other place who serving bubble teas but prepared with inspiration and passion. This is a good place to have casual dining.
