The atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly, the food service was super quick, and everything tasted delicious. We ordered about 20 different dishes to share at the table, and I highly recommend the tuna tataki, Eli chilli prawns (a little spicy), and the pork belly. The warm sake was enjoyable, as was the whiskey night cap. Children appeared to be welcome, with a space invaders game towards the front. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and I will definitely be returning.
My friends and I were recommended this restaurant by a local and we were not let down! We sampled a variety of traditional dishes including JFC, ramen noodles, gyoza, and tempura eggplant... all were fresh, flavorful, and served promptly. We had the pleasure of meeting both the owner and chef who were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning when we are back in Brisbane! Thank you!
We live nearby to this place and I cant believe it has taken us so long to visit. Since our first meal here 2 weeks ago, we have been 3 times for dinner and brought out of town guests. The food is delicious, and the service is great. Very friendly and very fast. Great beer on tap and some great Japanese whiskeys to try. So far, my favourite is the JFC (Japanese Fried Chicken) burger, but our guests that tried the seafood really enjoyed it too. We will be regulars as it is now our 'local'.
Saturday night at Biru Shinobi and Ishi's Kitchen. Perfect combination of relaxed atmosphere, delicious food and ample variety of Japanese beverages. Pictures of the Sakana, ebi Chili, croquette and Japanese salad with tofu. We also had the cheesy chicken but we're to excited to dig in to remember to take a photo. There are plenty of smaller dishes if you want a light start to a big night out or if you prefer to kick back with a big bowl of ramen and a few beers to ease you into a blissful stupor, Biru Shinobi can accommodate what ever your mood fancies.
A great spot, though our waitress needed quite a bit of hand-holding. We had to ask for everything; chopsticks, sauce, ginger, side plates... The service was friendly but needs to step up. Great atmosphere though, and the food is great.
