It’s just my preference of not having food colouring that seemed to be in those curries. The garlic naans were huge and perfectly cooked-one of the best we had. The restaurant needed a bit more theme of “gate of India” as it lacks decors.
Despite a negative experience, the staff at this restaurant went above and beyond to make things right. The Karahi Paneer is one of the best vegetarian curries I've ever tried. However, I wasn't a fan of their cheese and garlic naan - I prefer plain naan.
I had a Groupon dinner at this restaurant quite some time ago, but forgot to write a review until now. It was located at the front entrance of Springwood Tower, making it easy to find. The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel comfortable throughout our meal. The deal included a mixed entrée for two, 2 mains, naan, and rice. The food was above average, especially the crystal clear Basmati rice which paired perfectly with the Butter Chicken and Lamb Vindaloo. The manager even allowed us to upgrade to Punjabi Naan (Spinach Cheese) for a small extra fee, which was delicious and complemented the sauces well. Overall, it was a decent dining experience. Really enjoyed our entree and mains. Pleasantly surprised. Will go back again. Parking can be difficult when busy. Didn’t enjoy outside smoke wafting in from outside.
