Glee Fu Chinese - Brisbane

I had the best chicken rice in Brisbane! It was absolutely delicious, with perfectly seasoned chicken and fragrant rice. Simple, yet flawless. The fish-scented eggplant was also incredibly tasty, though it left a lingering aftertaste that affected my enjoyment of the other dishes. I’m not sure if it’s just me, as I might be allergic to something in it. Nevertheless, it was still fantastic, and the white rice complemented the sauce wonderfully. The cold cucumber salad was a delightful start to our meal. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, with decor that reminds me of my home country, Malaysia, which adds a lovely charm. The staff were friendly, and the service was quite fast. Overall, it was a great experience, and I can’t wait to try more dishes!

Let me share my thoughts on the Chinese Peppery Chicken with Rice. I absolutely love this dish! It’s authentically Chinese with plenty of bones, which allows you to savor the rich flavors over time as you eat. It has a bit of a kick to it, and the peppercorns can really awaken your taste buds. If you're not a fan of picking bones from chicken (seriously, what's the deal with that?), there are other delicious options to choose from. The fried noodles with vegetables and beef chicken are fantastic. The restaurant itself is quite simple and functional, but the food more than makes up for it. I’d definitely say the cuisine here is genuinely Chinese, without being overly Westernized.

My favorites, you have to check this place out! This incredible traditional Chinese restaurant offers a fantastic hidden menu. If you enjoy spicy Chinese cuisine, you must try their Braised Spicy Pork Ankles and Chinese Pepper Chicken. They're absolutely amazing!
