Pig 'N' Whistle Brunswick Street

I had the worst experience here on the 3rd July 2017. Walked in with my daughter for lunch and the clearly disinterested guy with the man bun, behind the bar completely ignored us and continued to polish wine glasses. I had to ask if it was ok to sit down. After taking our seat, I had to go and get my own menus and he continued to completely ignore us-obviously wine glasses were way more important to polish. After sitting waiting for him to acknowledge and perhaps take our order, after 15 mins we walked out. Never again. Appalling.Would give zero if able.

Do not use the catering offered by this establishment. Extremely disappointed with the quantity and quality of food. A complete rip off. We paid $970 alone for food. For this we received 5-6 plates of food to be share among over 70 guests. At the same time we put $3000 over the bar for drinks. Additionally several of the plates of food were not even full when they arrived. While a catered venue appears an attractive alternative, the Pig and Whistle should be struck off your list. Management were unapologetic and seemed to reflect a common attitude of indifference to servicing clients. Don't waste you hard earned money.

$17 gets you 1/2 a squid tube cooked to a tender state and no cutlery or napkin. What is the deal with staff who don't seem to want to work here. To the owner, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would be desperate to work here. So I think it's time to start hiring them and getting **** staff to train them (to replace themselves).

Ever since I was 18 I'd wanted to have a beer with my dad... I finally accomplished the feet here, at age 36 (he isn't a big drinker) For some reason the fortitude valley version of pig & whistle doesn't seem like the others, somehow cleaner / classier looking. I enjoyed a good variety of spirits, been here quite a few times & they always have something new, for a seasoned drinker like myself, it's a bonanza. Botanical gin variety & helpful staff. Especially the short skinny guy he was personally plus. Food is just above ok. The steak I had was pretty gristle, maybe another cut next time. The fish & chips looked delicious. Food envy. I'll definitely be back, it's close & better than the Brunny... By far.

Funny enough I always get takeaway coffee from this pub! So hard to get it anywhere else in the area! Its all bars and none care for coffee! It happens to be great coffee too, if you all need to know ????????????
