Friendly staff and fresh crisp tasty food made here. Eclectic menu. Top coffee. A small hole in the wall with tippy chairs outside. Great on a winter day. Excellent choice in West End up the Hill and quieter. Recommend.
Posto - West End, Brisbane. A very cute little cafe that is centralised in a business building, posto has the charms of a homely cafe and the zeal of a lot of alternative cafes combined. It does not have that feeling that they are trying to hard also with the lack of complacency for making it attractive to eat at for a meal. This is another one of the places over the Vulture Street crossing on Boundary where it gets notably quieter and more suburban. It is well thought out in the layout. Unlike a lot of places, for orders that are on the run there is a little window at the back (for the barista's point of view) where you can wait to get it. This stops it from getting too crowded during the busiest times. The lady that I got was really friendly and certainly alternative. She had character and even was keen in recommended what sweet to get - banana bread. I had that with my usual, and the cappuccino was not too bad. I liked the flavour but it is weak in comparison to a lot of places around town. The other aspects of a good coffee were there, so if you do prefer your coffee not overtly strong it is certain a go to recommend. However, the banana bread was fantastic. The serving was generous and it was infused with the butter and cooked on the sandwich maker. This sealed it in and kept it warm for quite some time afterwards. There are a number of aspects going for this place; it is one where casual lunch meetings would be ideal. I heard good things about their breakfast items.
