Satay Ria - Brisbane

This restaurant is bright, busy and noisy its intimate atmosphere art of space. it is for people who are hungry and want to taste a lot of spicy delicious dishes. the prices are reasonable and the personal is fast and efficient and. also very happy to smile and be friendly. the red and the rendang are good. we also had a fish dish that was fresh and sharp was very good. the only thing that was a little disappointing was the satay (iron,) which we prefer to grill Malay style instead of Chinese style deep roasted but that is more a question of taste. overall this is a good option and one of the better cheap to medium places in brisbane.

We came after reading the reviews in this restaurant and were not disappointed. although the restaurant was overcrowded with a tourist group, our dishes did not last too long. the seafood laksa melted great and tasted even better beautiful broth with belachan with good balance of the ingredients. the Chill basket was a handful, not sweet and not too sharp, which was wonderful when it dipped with hot rolls. it took a because to finish the chili crab due to the amount of juicy meat and wonderful thick sauce. all this with a wonderfully attentive and helpful waiting staff. we'll be back.

Authentic Malaysian food in a busy lunchtime restaurant in the heart of Fortitude Valley. The seafood laksa has good flavour, was packed with vermicelli and egg noodles, had several pieces of deep fried puffed tofu and had a moderate amount of seafood one mussel,...two prawns which lacked texture as they seem to have been frozen, two average sized pieces of squid, and a fish cake. Vegetables were light on and consisted of one small piece of eggplant and a little bean sprout. Unfortunately two people sat outside at a table and their smoke drifted in to the restaurant. They didn’t appear to eat here and were only their for a short time but it wasn’t pleasant. Guess a busy restaurant cannot be always vigilant to passers by taking a seat and having an unwelcome cigarette. I’d try this restaurant again given the tastiness of the laksa soup and the restaurant’s popularity but I will be sure to check if the seafood is fresh rather than frozen.

Went last night very excited as was supposed to be great food, we had Beef Rendang Singapore noodles, Both meals were very bland and tasteless . would not return.

On Wickham Street only a short walk from the Fortitude Valley train station, this great place has an excellent menu, something for everyone here. Licensed and BYO (corkage $3 pp). Service was OK, but they were extremly busy too, however, food was excellent , my...favourite was the fish with ginger and shallots, followed by the Mongolian beef. The place has a good atomsphere and the is an outside area (on the footpath). An excellent place for dinner in the Valley , recommend booking on Friday Saturday nights. Will be back to this one too...
