Siam Sunset Graceville - Brisbane

Have tried Siam Sunset Thai in Graceville a few times now and have to say it that they serve, in my opinion, the best Pad Thai in Brisbane. I am partial to Pad Thai and have been on the hunt for the best one for the better part of the last ten years. I believe I have finally found it! It is a great blend of sauce, noodles and other ingredients! I have ordered it a couple of times now just to make sure! The other meals are just as great, either being other noodle dishes like the Pad-See-Ew or the Roasted Duck Salad which was refreshing and tasty. The Golden Parcels for a entree are delicious with a nice mixture of texture with the crisp of the wonton, the chicken mince and the crunch of the water chestnuts. It is a place well worth trying, especially if you are like me, and been hunting that elusive best Pad Thai!

The atmosphere at this restaurant is quite nice, but the Thai food could use some improvement. The Tom Yum soup was fairly good and was packed with ingredients. However, the Pad Thai was overly moist for my taste and a bit too sweet. The service staff was friendly and pleasant.

However, I found the menu to be quite standard, which I think is a missed opportunity to stand out from other restaurants. As for our appetizers, the chicken wings were just ordinary deep-fried wings served with sauce. For our main courses, we ordered a stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts and a stir-fried pork with chili paste, accompanied by jasmine rice. Both dishes were well-cooked and flavorful; the meat was perfectly prepared, and the vegetables were fresh and crunchy. One of the dishes was ordered as medium spicy, but it turned out to be quite hot, which could be a bit risky for those not accustomed to spicy food. The service was prompt and straightforward, and the prices were average.

Delicious! I really appreciate the traditional attire worn by the waitstaff; it truly adds to the overall experience. The restaurant is also very clean and features lovely, warm lighting.
