The Royal Punjab - Brisbane

The food was well presented. The Amritsari fish pieces, coated in a spicy chickpea batter, were served hot with a salad and mint & tamarind dip. They were a delicious appetizer. We opted for ‘hot spiciness’ for our main dishes. The lamb kadai was excellent, very spicy and tasty, served in a balti bucket with white basmati rice and salad. The chicken biryani was also spicy and hot, with tender, well-marinated chicken pieces served in a handi with a side of raita. Overall, it was a pleasant lunch and worth the wait. The portions were generous. The restaurant itself had a simple and unassuming Indian decor, and seemed to have a regular clientele for take-away lunches.

On the busy Stanley Street strip near the Ipswich Road intersection. A slightly tacky looking cafe with friendly service.We were the only people in for dinner and so service was fine. The Royal Nawabi Chicken was the highlight for the table and the Lamb Lemon Hara Dhaniya was also very flavourful even though the lamb was very dry.Not sure we need to go again (we've heard that Delights of Paradise is worth trying which is just around the corner).

Really good food. Been here about four times and always happy!Staff are helpful and informative but each time i've been here it's VERY very slow.i've opted to order in advance cos I really do like the food and then when i went to their website, I noted you can get a 15% discount!So now this is how I get my indian from the Royal Punjab!I like it!

Сначала было впечатление, что это не ресторан, а типа дорогой кафешки.. По этому вопросу до сих пор смешаные чувства... Интерьер вроде бы и ресторанный, но чего-то для полного шика не хватало. Но нам главное было, чтобы еда хорошая была - не прогадали!И закуска (сыр), и курица были просто вау! (к сожалению, забыла точные названия, но моя курица, кажется была, Chicken Korma) Офигенно! Рис, впрочем, был так себе, но с этой курицей и соусом - всё замечательно!Плюс, официант был ооочень дружелюбный и милый.. Не было никаких проблем с местом, но мы и были в рабочий день.. Так же я видела, что можно заказать еду на вынос (идёт с небольшой скидкой)В общем, при случае, приду еще раз...
