We waited an hour after ordering to be told that we had to wait till the kitchen finished serving a function before we could get our meals and then finally after they arrived there as one meal short. Not sure why the chef would not pick up on 7 covers and only 6 meals (if the waitress even put that on the pad) even drinks service was slow so not sure what the deal was - the food though was lovely. After mentioning how unhappy out table was we did get one meal deducted and complimentary coffees at breakfast - which I must say was a completely different experience
Went to breakfast recently with a group of friends on a Sunday morning. The service was extremely slow and the hot drinks weren't very hot. Previously service was good as was the meal. Not sure if we will return there as a group again
The sourdough toast is crispy and tasty. The porridge is lovely, the fruit salad is fresh and tasty.
This place looks the part. Nice design and a clean open feel, but the food (think fancy burgers) did nothing to inspire. Bar snacks ordered with drinks took so long to arrive that the drinks had been long finished by the time they showed up. Don't bother.
We had lunch here while staying at The Johnson and we were as impressed with the restaurant as we were with the hotel. There was a great selection of small plates and we selected five to share. All were delicious and all were a very generous size - we were more than full! Our favourites were the sour dough bruschetta (which was very pretty as well as tasty) and the crispy twice cooked pork belly. There was also good range of craft beers and wines. Service was friendly and efficient and the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely return if we travelled to Brisbane again.
