The lighting was something out of a movie, the live performance gave a very satisfying San Fransisco touch of class. Food was authentic Vietnamese. I have not been this impressed with a restaurant for quite some time.
The restaurant was bustling with happy diners on this particular afternoon. My companions and I ordered a sharing plate of appetizers, as well as two bowls of pho - one with beef and one with chicken. The five different appetizers really whetted our appetites, and the hot noodle soup was a hit. Both broths had their own unique flavors, and the poached chicken was particularly tender. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and dining experience. Thanks to the promotion, we were able to have a high-quality lunch at a reasonable price. I would rate this experience 4.5 out of 5. Last visited in January 2018, and my rating at that time was 4 out of 5.
This is my third visit to another local haunt, I must say the first visit didn’t set the world on fire but I was pleasantly surprised this visit, food was delicious and the $5 Tiger pints for happy hour went down a treat.Duck pancakes for entree were delish could’ve used more sauce tho) and the Mongolian lamb for main superb, if it continues to improve , it will become a go to place for me
I used to visit this restaurant before it changed ownership. Recently, I decided to try the newly renovated Verandah on Racecourse for breakfast. The staff was welcoming and accommodated our request to sit near the door with our dog. The coffee was well-made and served perfectly strong. My avocado dish came with a delicious relish, a generous portion of smoked salmon, and a poached egg that my dog eagerly ate. However, the fruit toast we ordered was a bit dry and lacking in fruit.
Ordinarily a review would be done on something substantial like a smashed avo or eggs Benedict. Today I ordered the sourdough toast with home made blueberry jam and it’s absolutely to die for! So delicious!
