Thali Cafe, Southville - Bristol

We had an excellent time at the Thali cafe on Sunday. My only concern was that my on-line booking did not work in reality, only on-line! I phoned the week before to verify where we wanted to sit only to discover that we were not booked in. Luckily they were able to rectify it. The booking was for people, so it could have been a disaster.

We booked on-line the night before and had a confirmation email but on arrival we found they didn’t have our reservation? Nevertheless they seated us without hassle (couple Sat Relaxed atmosphere and it soon became very full. The table service was very good taking drinks and food orders and our courses came quickly. The food was very good and well presented. It is a small menu but we quite liked that, making our selection quicker (not sure if menu changes through year We would definitely go again and in a larger party to celebrate an upcoming birthday.

The food is great as always The whole booking experience was terrible. Booked on open table a month in advance. A week before phoned to confirm, they had no clue we were coming. Didn’t help out at all Then when we arrived they still didn’t know we were going so had to set a table for and then phone to get extra staff Not pleased

I recently met up with some old friends at this restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The food and service were both excellent, which is why this was my third visit and I will definitely be returning again. It's a perfect place to catch up with friends before heading to Ashton Gate for a football match.

Meal was to celebrate my daughter's birthday and we had a lovely time with scrumptious food and a friendly comfortable atmosphere on a Friday lunchtime.
