Beautiful cursed on a very wet Sunday with lunchtime. excellent vegetarian roast and good beer. the personal was charming, eating was very cheap. the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. highly recommended.

Beautiful old traditional pub in the center of the city with a good selection of ales and crying. many quirky history to him and a great atmosphere. they have a lot of play like chess, and host a fun quiz every week. visit them when they are in the city!

Shakespeare tavern makes quiz the Wednesday is now what I cannot say whether it is the British tradition. victorious, as a team of a table, share £40 credits, and no entry fee is required. but that's why I'm not here. I'm a pure tourist who's let in for food. I went to the middle of the house and got my beer from the Carma brewery. they have a cool concept of stayinpub. look at this,) for they do not serve today to eat. the Quiz hosting I suspect was the manager, helped get a table when the junior barkeeper and the only lady staff concentrated on “incapable of accepting a new customer on quiz night.” the only lady staff is not so friendly for their delivery without food service and cleaning after the beer slide and fall off the table. this is a good place for locals to do quiz night with friends. but I'm not coming back.

Lovely visit, great staff. Popped in with my partner on Monday night after a gig at the Lloyd's Amphitheatre, busy but not too much so-unusual for a Monday but then right next to where a gig had just finished so not too surprising. Both staff were very friendly, chatty, and very good at engaging with customers. Will definitely be going back.
