Brunch place that serves super fluffy Japanese pancakes.Truffle fries : umami with truffle oil and crispy on the outside soft on the inside.Orange lemonade : actually literally what it's called. Lemon juice with orange juice. While it did taste fresh it was super tart and I expected a bit more balance of sweet and sour.Fresh fruit pancakes : super fluffy just barely done japanese pancakes. Pretty generous helping of whipped cream but it's all dolloped in the middle so make sure to spread it around before eating.Eggs benedict : 1 regular 1 bacon. I wasn't the biggest fan of the spring mix and thick slice of tomato as it made it quite difficult to eat without it falling apart. It was also on top of a crumpet instead of a biscuit. Eggs were well poached though. Comes with a small side of truffle fries so no need to double order like us!
Flipper's is pretty good overall I would say 3.5 overall. But I'd say it'd be for a treat and wouldn't necessarily go back often.I got the strawberry souffle pancake and it was good, not the best but very soft and jiggly and the strawberry cream tasted fresh. Only downside is I don't think it's worth the price, for 20$, you only get two pancakes. My friend loved his eggs Benedict. I only tried the fries to be honest and they were really good LOL, it helped me cut some of the sweetness from my pancakes. The truffle aoili was a really nice addition and went well with the eggs benny and the fries!
OMG, the biggest breakfast or rather branch in NYC. Well, my friend and I couldn't decide what to choose and got double breakfasts: I got sweet and savory options. Soufflé pancakes are absolutely delicious. I wish I had gone for a berry/mixed fruit one, but I went for the strawberry option. Those were so light and fluffy. Beautiful, bright place with an amazing ambiance, and it seems like it's always super busy:
Super cute. Service was pretty quick, and food was really good. My only note is that you should get a reservation (20 minute wait time for lunch on a weekday).
