Genesis - Broad Channel

I have eaten here a few times before. The quality of the food is consistent and tasty. Portions are large.

Food was excellent, environment was clean however the staff that started to take my order was very rude. I asked for her to please give me a minute. When I was ready she started doing everything else except taking my order.

Service was great. Staff was friendly. I ordered fish, cabbage, and rice/peas. Everything was overcooked and bland. I really wanted to love this place. I went in the evening after 730pm. I might try them again earlier in the day when food is hopefully fresher. I just want to give them a chance. Especially since the staff was so warm and friendly

I eat at a lot of Jamaican restaurants but no one works as hard as this crew….. The line moves fast and the food is always consistently good. I’m a southern guy and normally don’t like everybody cabbage but y’all got the best steam cabbage in NY. Also everybody they accept Apple Pay. Chef Garfield inspires me to be the best chef I can be. Thanks for great food and service.
