Hook Reel Cajun Seafood - Broad Channel

I went out to eat with my child and it was crowded I didn’t see any manager. Who ever is managing this place isn’t doing their job. BAR IS OVER COMPACITY! I ordered my food at the bar and was told to pay right away. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Gradituity included ended up paying $100 for NOTHING! I really wanted to return everything and just leave! No waiter! I had to keep going to the crowded bar for everything! ALL TABLES WERE A MESS ! FOOD AND BROKEN GLASSES ALL ON THE FLOOR NEAR THE BAR ! ALL THE ASIANS WAITRESS LOOKS STRESSED and TIRED! Needs better management and control over the entire restaurant! Would never go back!

Food was... *okay*. But it's the *little* things *lots* of them. No unsweetened iced tea. They bring all the appetizers and the main dishes at the same time. No salt and pepper or ketchup on the table. When you ask for pepper (lobster bisque requires pepper! they eventually bring you some packets. Same with the ketchup for the fries. It's a restaurant, a supposedly halfway nice one. Packets? You ask for a side of corn on the cob without studying the price. They bring you a third of a cob like you'd find in a paella and charge you two bucks. Which is just stupid. I'd pay six for a full one. You ask for butter, they bring you some yellow stuff that is clearly not butter and in no way resembles butter in either flavor or texture. TV on the wall directly facing me is on QVC. Not entertained but now want Temp tations bakeware and serving dishes. Elevator to the H R portion of the restaurant (yep, it's a combo I'm at the K Pot, I'm at the Hook Reel, I'm at the combination K Pot and Hook Reel... is half broken. Maybe this is typical of the chain, but really, someone needs to up their game.

I ordered takeout at 9pm and was told 15 min, A hr later I recieve the order after asking about it and was told the kitchen never recieved the order imagine if I didn't ask about it how long I would've been waiting. My kids enjoyed the food minus the shrimp which I asked about and was never told that the shrimp is not shelled or cleaned so while eating the seafood boil you need to litterally take the shell and legs off the shrimp which costs a extra 13$ had I known i definitely Wouldn't of added the shrimp. Overall food was good.

We tried to go to Korean bbq downstairs but it was packed so we went to this seafood place and it was terrible. The rap music with inappropriate language was so loud that we couldn’t have any conversation. The waitress couldn’t here our order and messed it up. Instead of Seafood salad she brought Cesar salad. After we complained about the music it was eventually lowed down just a little bit. The waitress was working alone and couldn’t keep up with all the tables. The staff brought food but no utensils. After we asked several times to bring spoons and folks without any response my friend went to look for utensils himself. The table was never cleaned. The appetizers were brought together with main course. I don’t blame the waitress. She was just overwhelmed. The place needs more staff and different quiet music. Food was OK. But I will never go back there. Not my style.

Celebrated my daughter's 19th Bday here....amazing. half of the party had the seafood buffet and the other half that was allergic to seafood had the KPot!! Perfect arrangement. Drinks at the bar bartender service was great. Super accessible, parked right in front...train is a few steps away. Will definitely make a few trips back.....one of my favs now! ??
