Feedback gevenI ordered Jerk Chicken in Spicy Jerk Sauce, Mac Cheese, Plantain, Steam Cabbage, Rice Peas, Chicken Shrimp Rasta Pasta in Stew Chicken sauce, Spicy Beef patty, Mild beef patty, and it was all fantastic. I also ordered 1 each of every D G Jamaican soda, Tropical Rhythm drink, and Ting, 10 different drinks, and they were all in stock, which was nice no repeats. I ordered a lot of food because it was for today, tomorrow, the day after... The food stands up very well to reheating in the regular oven. I'm very very very happy with Island Foodie and will order again.

Good food but Over priced like if their location was 42nd st time square, and you will get charged for EVERYTHING. You will get charged an extra fee of .75 for gravy, you will get charged an additional $1.75 for half of a wing not even a full wing. If they could they will probably charge you for utencils. Place is a rip off. Stay
Amazing, authentic food. Reminds me of Jamaican food from Toronto. I got the bbq jerk chicken and will be back to try the oxtail. Don’t forget to ask for hot sauce!! I wonder if the hot sauce is homemade it’s so good.
Goat curry with rice and beans had a piece of plastic.I showed 1st staff member the plastic and they said they would tell the chef and walked away.I waited patiently, picking around the rest of the plate looking for more picking out bones. They went back to helping customers; I asked for refund which they didn’t even try offering.Then a 2nd staff member came over and asked “why i was still eating it?” Simply because I was taking a bite of the plantain (which didn’t seem contaminated) while I waiting for them. (5 minutes now)I was surprised that I had to justify picking at food they’re just gonna throw away. Im obviously hungry and waiting for them to remedy the situation which they are ignoring.No apology no courtesy.The 2nd staff member was questioning me was visibly annoyed, unapologetic, stressed and demeaning.Inexplicably giving me attitude projecting stress on me, treating me like a nuisance. I was a customer who tipped, wasn’t rushing them like some of the other customers.It’s unfortunate how individual staff behavior can defame an entire business.I’ve found plastic metal in food so many times because of the abundance of plastic in food prep production and I totally have come to terms with the fact that it unfortunately happens. Beside it being a danger to health, against health code, chef negligence.This “Bad Review” is only being shared because of how the staff handled it. Particularly “annoyed staff member #2”.I was kind and patient because in the past I’ve never had to struggle with explaining this to someone or advocating for a refund.Finally got my refund after being eye rolled and judged for picking at bones.They took my plate away as to scold me.And then they proceeded to serving a long line WITHOUT CHANGING the Goat curry or rice and beans.I guess they’re really counting on that only happening once. That kind of faith shouldn’t be handling quality control.Sincerely, food manager server cook (15 years of experience)
