The restaurant was dirty. The staff was not friendly and the food was not great. Surely would not want to go again

Awesome food, great service, by far the best Spanish restaurant on Staten Island

Went with my friend during the week. The restaurant was empty, just another couple which was perfect because I hadn't seen my friend and we didn't want to be rushed out. From the appetizer to the dessert, they kept coming to our table and taking the food away without asking. Several times, we had to tell them to leave the food. Great service, great food! Been dining at La Candela for 30 years! Disregard the negative reviews!

I’ve been coming here for years with my family. I don’t think I’ll be coming back. The staff became very rude. Drinks tasted like virgin drinks, completely filled with just ice. After telling the waiter that, he replies “I know” and walks away. He never came back with another and of course put it on the bill as well.
