I couldn't buy it because I didn't have time to wait, but French snacks, body soap, and even chocolate brought back memories of France.
So surprised by some of the reviews because I had the most amazing sandwich there this past (Saturday of Thanksgiving) weekend. We were in the area and stumbled upon the store while looking for lunch, our first time there. I had the Le French Baguette and I can easily say it was the best sandwich I had in the past year, likely longer. I am still thinking about it, maybe becoming obsessed. Everything tasted so fresh the bread, the ham, the generous slices of brie, the lettuce and tomato. Everything just melded beautifully and the Dijon gave it the right punch. It was made to order so it did take about 10 minutes but man, was it worth the wait. I ate it about 15 minutes after pickup and there was no sogginess whatsoever. Generous portion, very fair price. We live in Manhattan but I will be making the trip over there again. Looking forward. I hope they can repeat their greatness!
My husband and I were in the area visiting friends and when we walked by on a Saturday morning. They said we had to stop to try their croissants and I 'm glad we did. This place is literally no frills, but the croissants SLAP. Le French Tart Deli is the definition of Don 't Jude a Book by it 's cover . You can smell the fresh paisteries from down the block and once you take that first bite you understand. Crispy, flaky exterior and warm buttery interior. You cannot make a more perfect croissant. I think France would be proud lolI wish we had more time and appetite to try more food from the menu but I guess that means we just need to come back.
Empty pastry, no filling (see photos). Was excited to try this based on their “best croissants” claim, but pretty let down. My apple pastry had no filling, was just a shell of a pastry. Took a couple attempts for them to get my order correct but I wouldn’t leave a bad review for that. The bad review is really for the empty disappointing pastry.
