Hawkers Market review #5! The fried udon noodles and lychee drink both seemed super interesting so I decided to try them out. I love udon noodles, especially the real thick ones so this was a pretty easy smash hit. I liked the spinach leaves on top, They were refreshing, I wonder how the texture might have been different if they had cooked some of them into the stir fry ahead of time. The mushrooms were good too, but the green onion roots really pushed it over the top for me. The can of lychee was a much needed refreshment as I jumped from one restaurant to the next, and helped balance out the saltiness of the noodles. Even though I was four restaurants deep, I still finished the whole thing in about 45 seconds of hungry shovelling. Another great Hawkers Market offering.

Get the sambal stringray or crispy prawn paste chicken with fried rice. Yes, it is pricey for what is is, but also look which part of town you're in. Everything is expensive here!

Not an every week experience. The prawn chicken dish was larger in size than expected. If a ton of fried rice is what you are after, you definitely find better value in neighboring HK spots.
