Sweet Wonton House - Broad Channel

Family owned no frills restaurant offering authentic Cantonese breakfast staples! I'm from Guangzhou and this is exactly what I grew up eating. Like, people would eat this on their way to work or after school. They have Cantonese TV dramas playing in the background. Absolutely love the wonton noodle soup and hearty congee with puff fried dough on the side. They do not skimp out on the shrimp like other restaurants do and the bone broth is delicious. I haven't had wonton this good in a long time! I'll be back for the rice rolls which are hard to make at home. So worth it!!!

Beware the wait staff. The woman at the counter, short and older, tried to overcharge me twice with cash thinking that I could not do the math. She worked in a $1.50 tip into my takeaway order without asking. I do like their kitchen though

Fresh food and great tatse. Definitely will come back again. The service is really fast and it’s best. Seating area is moderate but at least 30 people can sit. Better to order for pick up and delivery.

This is hands down one of the best Chinese Food restaurants. Beef with bitter melon and every appetizer is good! The dumplings, shu Mai and the fishcakes with calm sauce are the staple appetizers for me.
