John Hardy's Bbq

Ordered a rib and chicken dinner with jojos and okra. Tasted like I was eating leftovers. The chicken had some white gooey stuff all over it.

I got beef brisket with two sides (stewed okra and green beans). Taste wasn’t good at all. Compared to the brisket I tried in Texas, this was a very bad experience!

The brisket is the ticket for sure. I got a combo of pulled pork and brisket, pork was a bit dry but not horrible. The brisket however was 5 star for sure. Everything has its own unique and stand out flavor that somehow combines really well. The sauces are the same way. I am surprised there aren't more of this restaurant around.

Food was better than average and that will work for another try.

Yuck.I don’t know what else there is to say.This place is awful. The ribs were disgusting. The brisket was Ok if you like gray, flavorless, meat. The sausage was the best meat they had and that’s not saying much. The sauces were Ok I guess as were the beans. The whole 2 meat platter was a warm mess. How this place has been open for over 50 years is a miracle.Bottom line. There is ZERO reason to eat here if there is a Famous Dave’s in this town.
