A wonderful secluded and rustic spot to have a great light lunch. If you at any point want to escape from the busier or more corporate wineries. Mt Broke Wines and Restaurant is your antidote. Beautiful service from the waiting staff, superb smaller dishes. A great place to relax and recharge during a big day of travelling. Really disappointing experience. Just had lunch here today food took 70 80 minutes to come out with little explanation and meals all arriving over a 10 minute period. No bread or olives served to tide us over. Steak was nice, but vegetarian risotto and vegan option was below average, and staff weren’t friendly (asked for feedback on the vegan meal, and when we said it was ‘not great’, they responded “we’re a French bistro” . Wouldn’t come back. The scenery is beautiful though!

Exceptional venue tucked away from the Hunter Valley tourist trail. Highly recommend the Rib Eye and Shiraz for two.
