The exterior of the building looks old & shabby & it appears to be a fairly scary local pub, but it is much better on the inside. While the restaurant decor is fairly ordinary, the original Pro Hart art on the walls is amazing.
Goat curry very tasty, and the cabinet merlot was perfect accompanying wine. The Junction hotel looks very ordinary on the outside, but don't be fooled as inside is the restaurant, with wonderful staff.
We were thrilled with the quality of the food, the welcome from the friendly staff, the decor and the presentation. The hotel is nothing much from the outside, but the restaurant within is surely the best in Broken Hill. The crispy duck was beautifully cooked with lovely presentation, and the pasta with bacon and mushrooms was fabulous. The salad which came without dressing ( thank heavens!) was fresh and tasty. The dessert tray, which is taken to each table with an explanation of each of the choices, is difficult to resist. How can anyone turn down a lovely delectable looking dessert when it is sitting right in front of you? The wine prices were very reasonable, and although the meal was a bit more expensive than other venues in the town, it was well worth every penny.
This is truly a unique customer focused experience. Food was great and well cooked, dessert so well presented you can't help but have a plate of sweets made up to your liking right in front of you. There aren't many places around anymore in fast living towns where the client feels he is King, but Silvers will make sure you do.
Silvers restaurant is located in a nicely renovated old hotel. The service is excellent as is the selection of food and drinks. The restaurant has original paintings from Pro Hart which can be admired up close. We enjoyed our experience at Silvers.
