Belmondo Cafe - BROMLEY

After not going out much due to Covid, we decided to have breakfast at Belmondo's following a hospital visit. We had been there a few times before the pandemic and always enjoyed it. The cozy cafe and its owner lived up to our expectations. I had a delicious large flat white coffee and couldn't resist having another after finishing my Croque Madame. My partner had a pot of perfectly brewed tea made from Ceylon and Assam loose leaf blend. She ordered the JT Special ciabatta filled with ham from Norman's Eynsford butchers, French Brie, mushrooms, spinach, and red onion marmalade - it was exquisite! We had a pleasant chat about teas, and as we left, the owner kindly gave us two of his specially sourced teabags. We will definitely be back to this little gem sooner than before.

My brother and I visited this restaurant for the second time and were incredibly impressed. The food quality is outstanding, with the salmon and cream cheese sandwich being the best I've had in a cafe or bistro in a long time. I usually find that cafes serve overly sweet desserts like buttercream cakes, cupcakes, muffins, and brownies, but I was pleasantly surprised to find French apricot pastry slices with real apricots here. The service from the waitress was lovely, and the manager was very accommodating and efficient in running the cafe. We will definitely be returning here in the future. I ordered a sausage and onion baguette, but the sausage was disappointing as it was mushy like mashed potato. The restaurant did not ask if I wanted the onion fried or just chopped. However, the coffee was good.

Wonderful cafe, has lovely sunny outside area, if weather allows. I visited this cafe today at lunch time. My daughter ordered a lovely tuna melt sandwich, and I had the a scrummy hot salt beef sandwich. Both were freshly prepared and of a high standard. Tea and coffee were great too. Highly recommend

Popped in for brunch before taking my car in for a service and was so glad I found this place! Really lovely staff and the food was delicious and well presented. Coffee perfectly made too.
