In 2 Papadam - BROMLEY

A good friend recommended this restaurant after receiving their menu etc through our letterbox we decided to try. We did as they advised and downloaded the app’ and made our order. We checked the app’ after about 60 min’s and was reassured to see it saying ‘cooking’ so we relaxed At 90 mins we checked again and perturbed by the fact the app’ said ‘cooking’ so we called and was told it was very busy! after a conversation with no real hint of an apology, we were told 15mins’ …. After 25 min’s we called again and again told it was Saturday and they were busy, I politely reminded him we knew it was busy as it’s a Saturday, but that is what they should be used to doing i asked why no one bothered to call us or email ? (they had these details) I received no real sincere reply to that question, but was then told “We will send in 20 min’s with free popadoms” as though after 2 plus hours that would excite us i told him that it was obvious we were lied too re 15 min’s but he deflected that question… we immediately cancelled our order we await refund. I understand it’s a Saturday night but that said communication should be key! if they had bothered to contact us or were honest when we called, it would have helped. As for the app’ one can only conclude that when it says ‘cooking’ i would strongly urge you to call and check that statement. It’s a shame, our friend tells us the food was amazing! Sadly we never got the chance to find out.

The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is charming. We enjoy dining at this restaurant, where we are always welcomed warmly and served tasty dishes. We can't wait to return next month!

Last time we visited over 9 months ago we were underwhelmed . decided to try again. what a difference! the food was the best curry i have tasted for a long time, and the service was faultless. will definitely visit again soon

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was amazing, I would definitely recommend eating here.

Great experience, fun time with friends after a shift at work funny and friendly waiter made us all laugh and very patient and food was really good
