Little India - BROMLEY

For over a decade, this restaurant has been serving delicious tandoori and vegetarian dishes for both dine-in and takeout. The service is excellent and the food is always served hot.

I recently found this fantastic restaurant in Petts Wood. After trying their takeaway a few weeks ago and loving it, we decided to make a reservation for an early Saturday evening. We were seated at a lovely window table, the food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back again soon.

I definitely wouldn't recommend visiting this restaurant again. The chicken tikka dhansak was the worst I've ever had - it had no lentils, tasted like red chilli paste powder, and was overly spiced with a runny consistency resembling chilli sauce. The meat thali was also too spicy, and the vegetable side dishes had undercooked vegetables. The waiting staff made no effort, despite there being only six people in the restaurant. They didn't check if our food was okay or help with moving the table for my wife to sit down. It seemed like they didn't want to be there and were more interested in talking to takeaway customers. The food was overpriced and the staff were inattentive.

Hadn't used Little India for a long while but ordered a Chicken dansak takeaway amongst other things. Despite chicken dnsak being written on the box it turned out to be prawn dansak. Remembered why we hadn't used them for so long, same thing happened last time. If you fancy Indian Curry takeaway lottery, go ahead, but if you want to eat what you ordered, go elsewhere.

Great food, couldn 't fault it and the staff and ambience pleasant. Only gripe was we had some food left over and when clearing the table we asked if we could take left overs home. Consequently we had two plastic tubs brought out and we were left to clear our bowls etc. at the table. Far from ideal and we were both left embarrassed. Hence 4 stars and not 5. Will visit again but will not be making a request for a 'doggy bag ' again. Left overs will have to go to waste, sadly.
