The Good Dine - BRONX

You have to get here early in the day to get good portions. At the end of the day there is no more Mac and cheese and no plantains and sometimes if it's late, they run out of some of the more popular dishes. That being said, the portions are good and they fill the plate. The food is always fresh and the ladies behind the counter are lovely. Edit: after I got home and opened the containers, I noticed that the portions were not at all generous. In fact, they were quite skimpy. Very disappointing

I purchased a small bbq chicken, Mac and cheese with cabbage. It was delicious. Chicken was juicy and sauce, really great bbw flavor. The Mac and cheese was surprisingly good. creamy with great flavor. It's not complete, simple works. I gave a 4 because staff can be warmer. She was dry and cold in her demeanor not mean just not friendly. I've been going here for years, food it's pretty solid and consistent. I'll go back

The service was rude and off-putting. I am relieved that this place has closed its doors for good. It should have shut down much sooner. There was no sign of hospitality at all. As for the food, I would rate it a 1 out of 5.
