The Clam Box - Brookfield

We have been coming to Clam Box for years for reliable good food. We recommend it to everyone. Sadly, today was a not so good experience. The clam strips were rubbery and overdone. I mean every other time I got clam steps there they have been tasty and fresh... this time they were horrible. The bread on our sandwich was grilled with old grease. The cold slaw was warm and old. Only takes on bad experience to not want to return.Do better!

Took forever to order. We ordered ice cream the small was bigger than the large. I tried posting pic. I will post on FB. This place will not be open if the staff doesn't shape up.

Ate here for the first time. Overall good experience. The fisherman’s platter was decent; whole belly clams were clean, shrimp was cooked nicely; fish was a bit overcooked, scallops and fries a bit undercooked. I didn’t care for the coleslaw. Hotdog was excellent. Burger was decent. My 3 items cost about $44. Went back to get my dog a puppy cup which he really enjoyed (normally he’s a bit picky).The ladies working were nice and friendly. They brought my food to my outside seat. If you want condiments you have to go inside and go to the end of the bar area. There’s outdoor seating, and even some yard games (cornhole, giant connect 4). There’s also a patio. Parking at the front of the building. Parking: Limited parking around the building.

Amazing staff! Always friendly and helpful- food was delicious! Loved the chowder!! Ordered at the window for takeout- minimal wait time!!

Came down there today on Saturday to enjoy the fishermen platter it was the most terrible platter ever? One large sea scallop on a fisherman platter does not cut it then go to shrimp dinner go to shrimp dinner that was also terrible the onion rings you could still see the raw batter uncooked on it all cluttered spent $105 and still gave a tip cuz the girl was worth the tip but the place was terrible go in there for a lot of years probably won't be back when Dickie Hibbard owned it the place was phenomenal!!! Those cooks ought to be ashamed of themselves?$105 plus tip still going to call the owner!!!
