Food and service were fine, not really standout, but the gratuity policy really irked me (and frankly, ruined the dinner). Waiter dropped off the check, which had the usual subtotal, a blank line for “tip”, then a line for the total. What went unmentioned was the fact that a 20% gratuity had already been included. No quick word by the waiter, no signage, no “extra tip” line on the bill, nothing. I was all set to just add $40 to our $200 tab when I happened to look at the minuscule print on the original bill, and there it was. When I asked the manager about it, she mumbled something and scurried off. Times are tough I don’t necessarily have a problem with add ons for kitchen staff etc so long as it’s clearly explained, but this felt intentionally deceptive. I looked around the dining room and wondered how many patrons were going to do exactly what I almost did and unwittingly leave 20% more than they intended. Very disappointed. Canceled two nights in a row on our parties. The first night was understandable, it was pouring rain. Though they did not let us know it was canceled until I called them to confirm. And this was for a birthday party that they then would not accommodate inside. Made months in advance. Second night it was absolutely not raining, and yet they still canceled. Also, they waited until 4:30pm to cancel on a 7:30pm reservation— this time the dinner was a welcome dinner for the guests of our wedding. No suitable advance notice, no offer to move inside, leaving us high and dry for guests who have traveled from all over the world in an area with very very few restaurants. Very bad customer service. No pleasantries, and no effort to accommodate. I wouldn’t recommend, no matter how delicious and chic the place is!

Randomly stayed at this place on my way riding to Bar Harbor. Got dinner... I had the most amazing burger in my life. Compliments to the chef who designed this menu, and those in the kitchen who executed it so well. The orchestration of flavor profiles... the organic tomato slice with the perfect acidity, the pickles with a little smoke on top of savory sour, the caramelized onions with their rich, dark, sweetness. Then the juicy, meaty, medium rare paddy that reminds you of what devouring flesh- a big fat piece of meat that feels like life itself- vitality, and one that has to be grilled in heaven.... They even intentionally blackened the top half of the brioche bun to give the whole thing more smoke... but done just right so there's no bitterness. Everything is so divine and to be sing about in the symphony of flavors in this burger. I was almost crying gobbling this down. Oh the pleasures of life! And I had the goat ribs and oyster mushrooms before the burger. If you're in this neck of ME, definitely worth a detour just for the burger.

Gorgeous dining area, scrumptious complimentary breakfasts, and an outstanding dinner menu. Definitely recommend this restaurant! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price range: $20–30 per person.
