The one I had was dressed with tater tots, jalapeños, sour cream, and cheese sauce with a side of fries! I was in heaven. My fave is the Cookout Dawg! These dawgs are legit plants and not stuff made in a lab. They are delish and now you can find them in some Whole Foods locations and other smaller shops.
I am grateful that Yeah Dawg came from Brooklyn to set up a food booth at Compassionfest 2017 in New Haven. Despite the white flour bun it was served on, I purchased one after reading about the wholesome ingredients. I enjoyed the avocado topping and the hot dog itself, but I did not care for the bun. I have since been buying Yeah Dawg from Foodworks in Guilford and Old Saybrook, CT, where they sell it without the white flour bun. Yeah Dawg's ingredients are all nutritionally wholesome, including potatoes, beets, sweet potatoes, carrots, sunflower seeds, a blend of beans and brown rice, tapioca, herbs, spices, and salt - no oil added. I bake them in a toaster oven without adding oil, and sometimes add mustard if they are too dry. Yeah Dawg has a unique taste that does not try to imitate real meat, similar to Sunshine Burger. These are the only two "mock meats" I eat, as they do not try to replicate the taste or texture of meat.
I had them twice when they were at different festivals. Really great and delicious options! Also really fill out.
After all, the chance was to taste her food. It was at a vegan festival. They don't have a branch, they only make festivals and sell the shops. The hot dogs we're decent because they don't use soy.
