Leaf - Brooklyn

As someone who is new and unfamiliar with this place, I have a good feeling that my dining experience here will be fantastic.

Update to previous response: The employee who took my order initially told me it would be $15, but when I stated I would pay with cash, the total changed to $13.07. The menu listed the bacon ranch salad at $12, but I was actually charged $12.48 plus tax. When I handed over a $20 bill, the cashier struggled to provide change and initially gave me $6. I then had to explain that I was owed $7 in total, as I had given him $20.07. Despite this, the cashier still seemed confused and only gave me $6, holding onto the extra 7 cents. I had to use a calculator on my phone to demonstrate that I was owed $1 in change. I asked for a receipt but was told it was unnecessary. As I waited for my order to be prepared, I had to witness a disagreement between two employees over who would mix my salad. This made me feel unwelcome and unappreciated as a customer. When I finally received my salad, I noticed that the portion was significantly smaller than others I had observed being served. When I asked for cranberries to top my salad, I was informed there would be an additional charge of 50 cents. I declined and left the restaurant feeling uncomfortable and dissatisfied with the service I had received. Ultimately, I will not be returning to this establishment and will be taking my business elsewhere, where I feel valued and respected as a customer.

I absolutely love this place. I’ve never been inside, I always order through Uber eats but the food is always more than satisfactory EVERY SINGLE time.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. I discovered it while working for DoorDash and GrubHub. The staff is always welcoming and the atmosphere is laid-back and calming. It quickly became one of my favorite spots to enjoy a delicious meal. Recently, I decided to try takeout and ordered from Leaf. They promptly prepared my order, but there was a mistake. However, as soon as they realized the error, they quickly rectified it and were very apologetic. I truly appreciate a business that not only offers excellent food but also outstanding customer service, and they have earned my loyalty.

There were two ladies working the counter when my coworkers and I walked in, both of which were vibrant and polite to say the least. Was all our first time there, but I've had this place on my radar for some time. The reviews had good looking food but stories of bad experiences with a worker who I can only guess was the same man that had everyone upset with the place.All that to say that those poor reviews were the opposite of my experience. Amazing food, terrific service, and the whole vibe of the store was on point. Dim lights over head with plenty of natural light shining in that emphasized the earthy, natural tones of the place. Plus great music. Also, props to them for having a sitting area out back, but the spot me and coworkers gravitated towards was a wood table with rustic wooden chairs. 5 stars not enough, 10/10 for leaf.
