Mom's Pierogies - Brooklyn

The black bean paste rice lacked flavor and the sauce was too salty. The potato salad tasted store-bought and the noodles were decent. Overall, the food was underwhelming and did not compare to my mom's cooking.

I am Polish, so I grew up eating Pierogies with my family. These are the tastiest Pierogies I have ever had. The dough is soft and the fillings are delicious. I tried the potato-cheddar, sauerkraut, and mushroom varieties and they were all amazing. The service was great too. I will definitely be back next time I am craving Pierogies.

The food at this restaurant is handmade and excellently prepared. I really liked the dish I ordered. However, when I requested for the Pierogis to be pan-fried, they were cooked more in oil with minimal browning. Prying the Pierogis costs an additional $1.00.

While the Perogi is excellent, the stuff of cabbage was tasteless. The filling seemed too much filler and the sauce had a strange to taste. Not sure if it was a spice or cabbage flavor. If you want Great Perogi, that's the place.

Stopped in on the way back to the airport and grabbed a bunch for the ride. They were awesome! But be warned, don?t poke holes in the bottom of the takeout box? that didn?t end well? but user error, so 5 ??!
