I absolutely adore this place! They allowed me to customize my sandwich, and it turned out fantastic. There was also some lively Cuban salsa music playing, which created a lovely atmosphere for lunchtime. The potato salad was an added bonus too!

I visited this charming restaurant, but my sandwich looked nothing like the photos they had advertised. I ordered the queen sandwich, and honestly, it was quite basic. While it tasted fine, the long wait time didn’t justify it. There was barely a thin layer of chicken salad and maybe half an avocado on the entire sandwich. The pictures really got me excited to try this place, but don’t be deceived—it's not as wonderful as it seems. I left feeling disappointed.

(Review based on takeout only) I?m not one to exaggerate my food experiences. When I say this was one of the best sandwiches I?ve had in nyc, that is absolutely true. The Emiliana sandwich is what I?ll be sharing with my out of town guests ? it?s that good. I?d recommend a 3/4 sandwich. The full isn?t really 2x bigger than the 1/2.

During the COVID era of takeout, I was thrilled to discover an amazing Cuban sandwich at The Sandwich Shop. Any true Cuban sandwich lover will tell you that the key lies in the right bread and the way the pork is cooked—and they have both nailed in their El Cubano! They add just the right amount of pickles and cheese, making this one of my favorite sandwiches on their menu. The only drawback is that you need to order it early because it’s a top seller. They cook the pork overnight (the authentic way) and serve it fresh each day, but once it’s sold out, it’s gone! It’s so delicious that I can only treat myself to one every couple of months, or I would end up gaining a lot of weight! I recommend going for the FULL SIZE option for just a few extra bucks, as it can easily last two days and reheats nicely in the oven for lunch the next day. Their soups are also really tasty!

The prices definitely reflect the taste. The Tuna Melt was REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD!!! Not your traditional NYC tuna melt but definitely worth every penny!! Also the deliverZero packaging is worth the extra .99 cents!!!!
