My friends have gotten take out from here before. They describe it as a great option for non-omakase sushi! There was apparently a Groupon deal so they ended up ordering from here for a Friday night dinner at home! I was lucky enough to get invited! I chose the salmon and spicy ikura bowl. The ikura wasn't spicy at all and I have a low tolerance so maybe they put the wrong ikura in the bowl. But the salmon was good and so was the rice. The other sushi rolls were also very tasty! I liked the scallop one a lot. It tasted super fresh. The karrage chicken was good too despite being delivered. I would definitely keep this on my list for when I finally move to Brooklyn.
The ramen was delicious. The pork was tender and juicy, noodles were firm, and the broth was really rich in flavor. The sushi on the other hand was supposed to be spicy but actually wasn’t. It was crunchy though. They don’t make adjustments to the dishes (ie making something spicy). But the service is great.Vegetarian options: There was a spicy vegetable ramen.
I had a few objections.Service was extremely slow at 530 on a Thursday. The fried chicken was bad. Chewy on the inside and an unpleasant aftertaste. The sushi and rice bowl was very heavy on the rice and had not so much fish. Possibly it's even the appropriate amount of fish, it just looks bad in comparison to a whole cup of rice.
Decent ramen, they had 3 types, I went with tonkotsu. It was nice, egg was overcooked but otherwise good ramen. That and a beer were $22, so it's pretty average price-wise. Small establishment, but I was early because I wanted to get to the nets game, so was able to be seated immediately
