It came with a choice of Miso or soup of the day, which was something with coconut in it. And a self serve salad from the salad bar. The lunch special was really reasonable at only $7.25 for the large amount of food.
It's a festive restaurant for sure with lots of Christmas lights, lanterns, trees, and booze. Lots of booze. It was a chill night and if you get Paul to do your sushi, you'll have a good time for sure. We chose to sat in the bar instead of the table booths and it gets crowded at night on the weekends for sure. There is lots of overly attentive servers which is nice but our girl was constantly every 10 minutes coming to our section and nothing would be so awkward when someone's talking to you and your mouth and full of food. You look silly and nod your head with weakness. Other than that, it was superb. What we had: The pork filled Gyouza which tasted like it was not fresh at all and the edges of it were pretty crusty and hard to chew on; I personally wanted the Fried Wontons but that wasn't the plan oh well. The basic sushi was mainly what the other party ordered like Yellowtail roll (Soo good!! Eel, lots of Ebi and Unagi! Pretty basic huh ? The other rolls I happened to crave was the Rock N' Roll roll which was similar in my opinion to the Philadelphia roll, but hey, that's just me. The killer thing I've tried this night was the Black and White roll! (That was a new reasoning of goodness. The taste of Black and White roll was a taste of spicy with sweet and they made the roll in front of us Paul in fact it was that good! I would recommend it so much to anyone. Unfortunately no dessert for today, but Paul is right: Eat it while it's fresh! Overall good place but the appetizer needs more work if it may.
My husband and I used to live in Thornton before moving back home to California. Now we're moving to Kansas. So...we left Kansas this morning and added an extra 90 miles to our route just to come to this place!! We couldn't remember the name, only the location and it's been at least 10 years. Omg the food is still great. We ordered the Tempura Calamari and vegetable app, chicken Panang and Chicken Pad Thai and it is perfect! I completely recommend this place. I wish the owners were here so I could tell them. If you're anywhere near here you should stop by.
Very happy with our first dining experience here. We were seated quickly with menus and water brought to the table with no hesitation. I got in just before a rush and the crowd was handled politely and quick by the wait staff Our waiter was polite and helpful with the few question I had about a couple dishes. Even with the rush our food and other tables food was brought out quickly and hot no waiting or like warm food. They have a varied menu and it was nice to have a couple different cuisine options in one sitting. The curry was mild but flavorful and veggies cooked completely through but not mushy. Sushi was slightly misshapen but tasted great, best I've had in a while in Colorado. Only got a pic of the curry plate. The garlic rice could have been a bit more garlicy but that's a personal taste, I'll order it again and ask for more garlic.
I ordered from here the other night through DoorDash because the photos of the food look phenomenal and the place has some great reviews. Well that was NOT reflective of my experience. I ordered the teriyaki tofu with veggies and a side of garlic rice. The tofu dish smelled HORRIBLY spoiled and inedible the moment I opened the lid. After stirring through it with my fork trying to find some veggies and where the stench was coming from I could see BLACK SPOTS THROUGHOUT ON VARIOUS PIECES OF TOFU I can only assume was mold and they chopped it up, cooked it, and let it be delivered anyway. DISGUSTING. All the food was subpar and gross. This place will never get another dollar of my money.
