Kirks Ferry - Brownsville

Kind of dumbfounded Kirk’s has any 4 or 5 star reviews. Yes, the food is generally good and there are certain things on menu that excel, like the ribs. We live in Brownsville, and have been there half a dozen times, each time hoping we just had a fluke bad experience the time before, but won’t be back despite the convenience of having a “good” local restaurant. EVERY time we’ve been there, whether we’re the only ones there or not, we wait at least 5-10 minutes before anyone acknowledges we’re there (generally walking by us several times in the process). All but one of those times, we generally see a server once when taking our order and that’s it. Even when we’ve flagged our server down and asked for something like a glass of water or napkin, they tell us they’ll get them but never return. The food is too expensive there for the service to be so bad. After all, when you pay good money to dine out, aren’t you paying for both? We really want to like Kirk’s, but we’re done. Arghh. UPDATE: I respect Kirk’s replying to my review and offering to discuss and I’m happy to do so if the feedback helps. I changed my review score a bit based on that. Lots of history and nice staff great for out of state guest visiting you to take to experience the Oregon beginnings

Extremely bummed out to show up and have the place closed because of a private event They have tight hours as it is ! Wish they would have scheduled private events for days that are normally not open ie EVERY Monday and Tuesday P.S. you weren’t the one had to eat at Pioneer um… either !!

1st time visitor, but...won't be my last! I had a very enjoyable meal. Food was excellent and we weren't rushed. I highly recommend them to anyone! Yummmmm!

Delightfully delicious! What a surprise for my mouth, for a small town off the beaten path of I-5. 10/10 will make the trip again!
