Feedback gevenOn the way to a short holiday in Xanten we interrupted the arrival in Brühl because the beautiful castle Brühl was long on our “To do – List”. It is one of the first important creations of Rococo in Germany. After a detailed, extremely interesting and entertaining guided tour through the punk rooms of the beautiful castle of Cologne's Kurfürsten and archbishop Clemens August, we went a bit through the baroque gardens and wanted to strengthen ourselves with a snack before we went on. On the way to the parking lot we came to the bakery “Oebel”. The bakery with “self-service café” is located in a top restored 16. Building. century; how to read on an information board on the wall of the house, the house “Stern” is the oldest residence in Brühl. Bakery offer The shop table is very well maintained. In addition to bread and rolls you will find a very attractive selection of delicious cakes and various snacks. Oebel: “All breads from the bakery Oebel are freshly baked daily without preservatives, without genetically modified ingredients, and with natural acidic vinegar.... Oebel's natural sours consist exclusively of water, flour and natural sourdough bacteria. You have to mature up to 18 hours. Only in this way, Oebel's breads develop their natural durability and excellent taste. The Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection has already awarded this outstanding quality 18 times in a row with the Federal Prize – and thus in gold!” We were able to convince ourselves of the quality of the rolls. We had a salami and a brittle bread with herb upstairs. Really excellent in taste, the rolls with a wonderfully crispy bowl and airy loose dough, great also the inner life with delicious sausage or. Barrel and fine salad and garnish garnish. A coffee and a mineral water. A perfect snack. With “Oebel” self-service it is recommended that we order at a very nice seller and – armed with a small tray with our selection in front of the bakery at one of the tables on the house wall, ideal to watch the marker. Conclusion: attractive range of premised bakery, confectionery and snacks for small hunger
You get a nice breakfast selection, where you get a coffee/tea, selection of breads and selections of cheese or meat for your breads - for a fair price. All is fresh from their bakery. Only pity thing is that is it quite popular with the older generation of Bruhl.
