As you make your way through, you will find a selection of teas, eco cleaning products, dried herbs, spices, bio dairy products, tofu, seitan, vegan pates, and more. There is also a chilled food and bread counter, along with a section for gluten-free and allergen-related foods. The store offers a variety of products including pasta made from alternative ingredients, cereals, tinned pulses, organic beers, and wines. It is important to note that in Belgium, glass containers often require a deposit which can be returned when you bring the container back to the store.
This is the oldest and largest of the three Biovita shops. There is parking available in the inner courtyard next door. The shop offers a wide selection of organic products, including a good variety of vegan items such as plant-based drinks and spreads that are not easily found in regular shops. However, I have noticed that the variety of vegan products, particularly those in the refrigerated section, has not changed much over the years, despite there being many more options available. It is also disconcerting to see a large meat counter in the shop. On the plus side, the shop also sells a lot of eco-friendly children's toys.
To begin your shopping experience at this restaurant, you'll first navigate through the lifestyle products like hemp and chia seeds, superfoods, vitamin supplements, and facial scrubs. You'll then come across birch sticks, ethical toys, and eventually reach the section of the shop you're likely most interested in. Take a right turn to find a good selection of teas, eco-friendly cleaning products (with refill options), dried herbs and spices, organic milk products, various forms of tofu (the Taifun smoked tofu being a standout), sausages, pate, and more. There's also a counter with chilled food and bread, situated uncomfortably close to the meat counter, followed by dried pulses and a "packaging free" range. Moving on, you'll find bio-vegetables, gluten-free and allergen-related foods, pasta alternatives, cereals, and more. Finally, you'll end up at the checkout, where you can browse organic beer and wines. It's worth noting that in Belgium, many glass containers require a deposit that you can get back by returning them to the shop. This applies to items like vegan pate in glass jars and most beer bottles.
This is the oldest shop of the 3 Biovita shops and the largest. Parking at the courtyard next door. Fair large organic shop, with good offer of vegan products (such as vegetable drinks, bread spreads, .. and products that you do not find so easy in regular shops. Although I have found that the offer and variety of vegan products (especially in chilled section in the shop has not really changed (if there are so many more, they can sell). Here, too, there is a large meat counter that is restless. Also sells many ecological children's toys.
